It's known by many names: paranormal, psychic phenomena, parapsychology, the supernatural. Sometimes the stories are horror stories, sometimes they are mystery stories filled with phantoms, murder & mayhem.

The photo below is said to be poltergeist activity that occurred at Enfield, in North London, England between August 1977 & September 1978. The location was 284 Green Street, a house rented by Peggy Hodgson, a single parent with four children. At the time, they said that furniture moved by itself, that there were knockings on the walls and that children's toys had been thrown around. An affidavit signed by a police officer affirmed that she saw a chair move. The reports attracted many visitors including mediums & the press. A press photographer reported he had been hit on the forehead with a Lego brick. Two researchers from the Society of Psychical Research (SPR) were called in to investigate. In their report, they said they were convinced by the evidence they encountered during their thirteen month investigation.
